Chapter 531: Becoming An Archfiend
Chapter 531: Becoming An Archfiend
Simon felt an intoxicating power he could not put into words flow throughout his entire body.
The biggest change was his demonic heart.
After the implosion of his Chaos Flame, his demonic heart was on literal flames and these flames spread across his body.
The state of his demonic heart was somewhat similar to when he was a Fiend.
A Fiend possesses a Burning Heart, while an Archfiend possesses an Infernal Heart.
The two hearts were similar... They both burned with the flames of chaos.
However, an Infernal Heart burned with the elements of the demon.
Simon could feel the wind, ice, fire, shadow, and spatial energies making changes to his body.
His body was already built in a way that was compatible for each of these elements, but he still gained more after becoming a Fiend.
Though, the degree of change was based on Simon’s affinity grade for each of these elements.
As his demonic heart and body burned with the flames of chaos, Simon had the urge to roar but he controlled himself.
Then something which he expected to happen, happened.
His two bloodlines reacted to his advancement.
His vision changed, and he found himself in the same mountain range and in the same world of black and white.
ROOOOAAAARRRRRR!!!!
The roar of the sky tiger shook the world, and Simon looked at the mountain peak with a slight furrow of his brows.
The pressure of his Sky Tiger Bloodline was immense, and when he looked down, he was not surprised that the one-horned demon could not be seen.
He could not seen the bottom of the mountain. It looked like an abyss in Simon’s eyes, but he was certain that the one-horned demon was down there.
Its aura was faint, extremely faint, but he could sense it.
Simon looked back at the Sky Tiger that was roaring at the sky with immense pride, then he looked back in the direction of the one-horned demon.
’It’ll be bad if my horn vanishes because my one-horned demon bloodline is heavily suppressed by my sky tiger bloodline.’
’I should help.’
Simon looked at the Sky Tiger who had stopped roaring and was now looking at him.
"Control your aura. I still need him."
Simon pointed at the darkness below him, and the Sky Tiger glanced at the abyss before looking back at him.
It said nothing, but Simon instinctively understood that the Sky Tiger was going to obey him.
Simon nodded, then the world of black and white vanished from his vision.
He was back in the real world, and he had successfully broken through.
He opened his eyes, then he exhaled deeply before taking a good look at his surroundings.
When he sensed that there was no demon nearby, he was relieved.
He was worried that one of the Inquisitors would have noticed the changes to his aura. Fortunately for him, they didn’t.
Simon looked at his fists, then he clenched them tightly.
"Hmm. Having an affinity for five elements made my breakthrough extremely difficult, but the benefits are worth it."
He clenched his fists again.
"Wind, space, shadow, and even fire mainly increased physical aspects like my agility and dexterity. Ice increased my physical defenses, but if I had an earth affinity, my physical strength would have increased by a lot."
Although Simon said this, he knew that his physical strength had increased by a lot.
Now, he could comfortably fight an average Minor Greater Demon when it comes to physical strength.
The difference between a Minor Greater Demon and a Prime Greater Demon was massive, and he would need to most likely become a Prime Archfiend before his physical strength would be on par with that of Prime Greater Demons.
’Let’s try something new. Shall we?’
Simon snapped his fingers in order to summon a tiny flame, but he failed.
He nodded, having expected this.
There was a formation in his cell that prevented demonic energy from entering into it.
For him to use his chaos, he needed to interact with the world.
He needed to interact with the demonic energy of the demon realm.
If he was on earth, he would need to do something else entirely to use his chaos.
This was why he could not summon a tiny flame despite attempting to do so.
’And my poor fire affinity makes it more difficult to do this.’
Simon shook his head slightly, then he waved his hand in order to control the wind.
This time around, a soft gust of wind blew in his cell.
’I see. My affinity for the wind element is extremely high, so I was able to control the wind to some extent.’
’If I was outside the cell, the gust of wind would not be so soft.’
Simon nodded once again, then he touched his forehead to be certain that his horn was still present.
When he felt its presence, he nodded, then he closed his eyes in order to inspect his demonic heart.
His demonic heart was very similar to when he was a Fiend.
His entire heart was on fire, but the intensity of the flames was a lot higher than what it was when he was a Fiend.
It made Simon to be amazed at the Chaos Flames of demons.
His heart was literally on fire but he felt no pain. Nothing at all.
’This is truly an Infernal Heart. It’s like an inferno.’
To his slight surprise, his Chaos Flame had not changed. It was still dark silver.
But because of his exceptional control, he could make the colour it emitted in the outside world to be emerald-orange.
Simon exhaled deeply, then he stood.
He frowned slightly when he perceived the sweat and stench on his body, but he decided to let it be for now.
He couldn’t change his clothes since that would be suspicious.
’Should I throw a few punches and kicks?’
Just as Simon had this thought, he felt a presence.
No.
Two presences.
His expression became solemn.
