Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!

Chapter 439: Madwoman

Chapter 439: Madwoman

Thea Shaw didn’t expect that things would take an unexpected turn the very next day.

The twist was so abrupt that not even Thea saw it coming.

She had already received a notice from Rowan Donovan, so when she entered the company, she was ready to confront the department manager if they got into trouble.

Who would have thought that the manager kept silent, and even the deputy manager didn’t bother them.

With the manager not saying a word, the others certainly didn’t dare to ask questions.

Rowan was also surprised, but she thought the manager was just too busy to deal with Thea and Aurora Sutton for the moment.

That was what everyone in the office believed.

After all, there was that issue with Vivian Doyle.

Unexpectedly, in the afternoon, Hailey King walked over to Thea and her group with a gloating expression and said, "Miss Sherman is here. The manager wants you all to entertain her first. They’ll come over right after the meeting."

After saying this, she didn’t wait for a response from Thea or the others and walked away with her head held high.

Rowan’s face turned deathly pale.

Thea looked at her expression and knew there was probably a problem, so she softly asked, "What’s the matter?"

Rowan could only smile bitterly and reply, "I don’t know how to put it. This Miss Sherman... she’s one of our partners, but... I’d better go."

Hailey had addressed Thea and the others directly, and although Rowan wasn’t sure if it included her, she decided to go anyway.

"No need, I’ll go."

Thea stood up to entertain this Miss Sherman.

The management department often interacts with other companies, so a partner visiting was normal.

Rowan followed Thea to the meeting room, and only when they were alone did Rowan softly warn her, "That Miss Sherman has... a very challenging personality. Just bring her tea, mention the manager is in a meeting and will be here shortly, and then we can leave."

Thea noticed a flicker of fear in Rowan’s eyes when she described Miss Sherman.

That’s not just a challenging personality.

She laughed, "Could she be some kind of monster?"

Rowan pursed her lips, not daring to speak.

When they entered the meeting room and Thea saw her, Thea finally understood Rowan’s concern.

Though not exactly shocked, she was definitely surprised.

This person, actually, Thea didn’t know her, but they had met once before.

The daughter of Nancy Shea.

The girl whom Thea noticed in the blink of an eye outside an apartment building, seeing that she seemed to carry a fatal aura.

It was because of her fierce expression that she left such an impression.

Thea slightly frowned, and June Sherman in the office also looked a bit surprised upon seeing Thea.

Her gaze flickered quickly, contemplating something unknown.

Rowan went to brew tea for June, while Thea explained to her about the manager being in a meeting and would come shortly. June merely laughed once without saying anything.

Thea felt there was something meaningful behind that laugh.

When Rowan handed her the tea, June took it, and since everything seemed alright, Thea and Rowan were ready to leave, but they still waited to see if she had anything more to say.

Suddenly, June, who had been holding the cup while deep in thought, looked up with a smirk and said, "Is this how your company entertains guests?"

Rowan didn’t understand the issue and her face turned pale, "Miss Sherman, I’m sorry, is there somewhere we’ve been negligent?"

June didn’t look at her but focused on Thea instead.

The next moment, she suddenly flipped her wrist, splashing a full cup of tea towards Thea.

At that moment, Thea was grateful that Rowan opted for just warm tea during the hot summer season, following ergonomic reasoning.
